Mike Gardner, President and Chief Executive Officer
Mike Gardner has more than 30 years of general management experience, and has a strong track record for leadership during the rapid growth phase of a company’s development. He has successfully raised venture capital for early stage companies, built successful products and teams, and brought to market industry leading solutions to demanding enterprise customers worldwide.

His career started with IBM in a variety of Sales and marketing leadership positions. He led the single largest region in the Americas located in Los Angeles, California. His clients were the largest and most demanding financial, aerospace, retail, and petrochemical customers. Mike was recruited by Hewlett Packard as the business development general manager for industry and software marketing programs. After successful campaigns with large companies Mike took on his first of many small Silicon Valley start ups at INI, a networking start up where he was vice president of sales and marketing. The company grew quickly and was acquired by Ungermann Bass where he rose to the position of EVP of sales and marketing and managed the company’s growth from $50M to $450M in 6 years. The company was then acquired by Tandem in 1990. Mike continued in the Telecommunications field at Advanced Computer Communication, an early stage wide area networking start up focused on branch office and small office communications problems. The company grew from $3M to $35M and was acquired by Ericsson for $285M. Mike led operations at both Sybase and Blue Pumpkin, an exciting CRM software company whose rapid growth led to its acquisition by Witness Systems. As the CEO of Noosh Mike led its transition to an on demand delivery model and its subsequent merger with Newline Management.

Mike graduated from Villanova University and lives in Los Altos California.
   
Anurag Mendhekar, Founder
Anurag is a serial entrepreneur, and Blue Vector Systems is the second start-up that he has founded. The defining theme for Anurag’s career has been building successful businesses around newly emerging technologies. The first startup he co-founded, Online Anywhere was the first company to create the whole new market category of content transformation tools for Mobile and non-PC devices. The success of the company was demonstrated through its acquisition by Yahoo!. Following that, as a key executive of Yahoo! Everywhere, Anurag developed a global business around Yahoo!’s Mobile Internet services, achieving distribution through almost 40 different wireless carriers to serve millions of people around the globe.

Anurag started his career at Xerox’s prestigious Palo Alto Research center, where he was one of the inventors of Aspect Oriented Programming, a rapidly spreading paradigm of programming that forms the core of Blue Vector Systems’ products. Along with several scientific publications to his credit, Anurag has six patents awarded with several more pending. Anurag holds Ph.D. and MS degrees in Computer Science from Indiana University, a M.Sc (Engg) from the Indian Institute of Science and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from Bombay University.
   
Vlad Kolpakov, Chief Financial Officer
Vlad has over fifteen years of experience in finance, and comes to Blue Vector Systems from Metara, a Silicon Valley-based semiconductor equipment manufacturer, where he served as Chief Financial Officer. Vlad has held a multitude of financial positions, including auditor with PriceWaterhouseCoopers (PWC) and analyst with the International Monetary Fund (IMF). He is a chartered certified accountant and a certified financial analyst (CFA). Kolpakov holds an MBA in finance and strategy from Yale University.
   
Ed Sterbenc, Vice President of Sales
Ed Sterbenc is a senior executive with proven track record of driving profitability in competitive global customer markets. Ed’s professional experience includes leadership roles developing and directing high impact teams, organizations, and partnerships. Ed’s most recent role was as vice president, sales, Americas, at Nimsoft, where he was responsible for all revenue-generating activities in the region, including lead generation, pre-sales technical support, and inside and outside sales. In this role, Mr. Sterbenc led the delivery of nearly 60% of the company’s revenue. Prior roles include executive vice president, worldwide sales at Digital Fuel Technologies, president and CEO of SharkRack, and vice president of worldwide sales for Sylantro Systems. At Tandem Computers, Ed held a wide variety of management positions such as leadership of Product and Competitive Marketing, including PR, Industry and Consulting Relations, management of the Americas commercial field sales organization, head of sales operations for the Intercontinental Division and serving on the boards of several Tandem subsidiaries including those in Canada, Japan, Chile, and Peru.

Mr. Sterbenc has degrees in Industrial Management and Computer Science from Purdue University, awarded with honors. A member of Mensa, he is also an accomplished musician, sailor, and amateur astronomer.
   
Romen Kuloor, Vice President of Business Development
Romen comes to Blue Vector Systems with extensive experience in the wireless industry. Throughout his career, Romen has conceived, created and executed on marketing and business development strategies for newly emerging businesses. Most recently, Romen was Vice President of Corporate Development for Sirific Wireless, an RF CMOS transceiver company, where he was responsible for developing partnerships and guided the market and product strategy. Prior to joining Sirific, Romen was Vice President of Marketing and Sales at Wizion, a wireless voice recognition infrastructure company. Before this, Romen served as Director of Carrier Business Development for @mobile. During this time, Romen saw the company through its acquisition by what is now Openwave. Romen held various marketing and business development roles during his career at Ericsson, Inc.'s Wireless Infrastructure Division, where he was an instrumental part of major Carrier deals for 2G wireless infrastructure in North America. Prior to Ericsson, Romen served in various roles within the network engineering and design group for MCI Telecommunications. Romen began his career at Johnson & Johnson (Ethicon) as a Production Engineer. Romen received his BS in Electrical Engineering from Texas A&M University and his MBA from the University of Texas at Dallas.
   
Sridhar Ranganathan, Managing Director, Blue Vector India
Sridhar has 16 years of experience in the industry. He started his career at Xerox Corporation as a software engineer. He left Xerox to join Pure Software that eventually merged with Rational Software and later with IBM. Sridhar left Pure to co-found Online Anywhere in 1997 and wore many hats to get it off the ground, including business strategy, day to day operations and engineering. Online Anywhere was acquired by Yahoo! in 1999. While at Yahoo!, Sridhar ran the worldwide P/L for Yahoo! Everywhere. More recently, Sridhar was the COO of the Yahoo! Software Development Center Pvt. Ltd. in Bangalore, India to help scale operations in a very rapidly growing technology sector in this part of the world. Sridhar holds an MBA from UC Berkeley's Haas School of Business, an MS in Computer Science from Villanova University and a bachelors in Computer Engineering from Bombay University.
   
John Beans, Vice President of Marketing
John has over 20 years of experience in high-tech marketing, and is responsible for the development of Blue Vector's market strategy and programs. John was most recently vice president of marketing for both Datasweep and Camstar Systems, two leaders in the field of enterprise manufacturing execution systems. His previous experience includes positions at SBC Communications (now AT&T) and Bain & Company, a leading strategy consulting firm. John has an engineering degree from Clemson, and master's degree from Berkeley.
